Dumka: Police have detained two key suspects in connection to the shooting of a Bihar-based judicial officer’s wife in Gandhi Gram, under Pathargama police station limits, on Saturday. A special police team led by the officer in-charge of Pathargama police station, Shiv Dayal Singh, conducted late-night raids across multiple locations and took custody of both brothers-in-law of the victim, identified as Bandana Kumari. Notably, Bandana was returning to her parents’ home at Parsa village under Pathargama police station after testifying before a Godda court pertaining to a matrimonial dispute with her husband, Santosh Kumar Saw, when motorcycle-borne assailants fired three shots at her before fleeing the scene. The victim’s brother, Niranjan Kumar Sah, who was accompanying her at the time, named both brothers-in-law, Pramod Saw and Guddu Saw, as the accused who fired shots at his sister, allegedly at the behest of her husband, Santosh Kumar Saw, a judicial officer in Bihar.
