Tollywood star Allu Sirish is set to marry his fiancee Nayanika Reddy on March 6, and the pre-wedding celebrations have begun in full swing at the Allu residence in Hyderabad.On Sunday, Allu Sirish took to social media to share glimpses from his Pelli Koduku ceremony, held in the presence of close family members and friends. Among those who attended the intimate function were Allu Arjun and his wife Sneha Reddy, Ram Charan and Upasana Konidela, along with newlyweds Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda, who blessed the groom-to-be.

What is the Pelli Koduku ceremony?

For the uninitiated, Pelli Koduku is a traditional ritual observed in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, similar to the Haldi ceremony. Turmeric paste is applied to the bride and groom as part of purification rituals before the wedding day.The wedding festivities began earlier with the Pasupu ceremony at Sirish’s residence, attended by family and close friends, marking the official start of celebrations.

Pre-wedding bash at Allu Studios on March 2

Recently, Allu Sirish also announced that a grand pre-wedding reception will be hosted for members of the Telugu film industry on March 2 at Allu Studios.Sharing the update on his X handle, he wrote, “Nayanika & I are having an intimate wedding with family & friends on 6th March. But we’re excited to celebrate our Pre-Wedding Reception with the Telugu film industry prestigiously at Allu Studios on the 2nd March.”

Rashmika and Vijay to host Hyderabad reception

Meanwhile, Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda, who recently tied the knot in a fairytale ceremony in Udaipur on February 26, are set to host a grand wedding reception in Hyderabad on March 4. The event is expected to be attended by several prominent names from the Telugu film industry.
