She also firmly stated that a reunion tour is “not happening” anytime soon, a sentiment echoed by Mel C, though both remain optimistic about future group activities.

The Spice Girls were once one of the most prolific and iconic girl groups, and to this date, they are revered as trendsetters in pop music. Although it has been a long time since they disbanded, the fans always look forward to the moments when they can see them all together. Recently, Mel B opened up about a possible documentary about the Spice Girls and weighed in on what is the one thing that is allegedly stopping the project from seeing the light of day.

The famed singer recently talked about her legacy with the Spice Girls with HELLO! During her interview, she was asked about the possibility of a documentary on the group, to which she shared that there is an opening, but “it has to be done in the right way.”She also added a little context as to another factor that needs to be there in order for the documentary to happen. She shared, “It has to be honest – and not everybody wants to be honest.”

Mel B clarifies if the Spice Girls will reunite anytime soon

The last time all of the members of the group, which also includes Melanie ‘Mel C’ Chisholm, Geri Halliwell-Horner, Emma Bunton, and Victoria Beckham, shared the stage was in 2019. Mel B was quick to shut down any rumors of another reunion show happening. Citing that there is no way, she added: “I can tell you it’s not happening.” “If it does, it’ll be a shock to me, let’s put it that way. When I look at that [tour] and at the feeling it gave me, I was in my element, but there comes a time… I’m 50. You can’t be nagging everyone to go on tour if they don’t want to,” the artist shared.

Mel C also confirms that there will be no reunion of the Spice Girls

In March, Mel C starred on ‘The Smallzy Show’, where she was asked about the possibility of a reunion this year. She quickly shut it down, saying, “No, there is no reunion.” However, she had confirmed that the group is in contact after all these years, and they all wish to do ‘something.’ She added, “Who knows when, but I still feel very optimistic, and I keep my fingers crossed that you will see the Spice Girls together at some point in the future.”The Spice Girls will have their official 30th anniversary since their debut.
