Lexie Brown is speaking out after her name got pulled into a viral story involving Klay Thompson and Megan Thee Stallion. The Seattle Storm guard says the rumors are false and have gone too far. In a recent interview with Fox News Digital, Brown said she has been receiving serious threats, not just online hate but messages that scared her enough to take action. Because of this, she said she had to hire security to protect herself and her family. The issue started when rumors spread online claiming Brown was the woman involved in an alleged cheating situation between Thompson and Megan Thee Stallion. The rapper later confirmed that her relationship with Thompson had ended, which only made the rumors grow faster. But Brown says she had nothing to do with any of it. She made it clear that she does not have a personal relationship with Thompson and does not even know Megan Thee Stallion. As the story kept spreading, Brown says she felt left alone to deal with the damage, while the two bigger names stayed silent on her situation.
Lexie Brown calls out Klay Thompson and Megan Thee Stallion as she denies rumors and shares safety fears
Brown did not hold back when explaining how the situation has affected her life. She told Fox News Digital that she only knows Klay Thompson because they both play professional basketball, and even that connection is not close. “I only know him through our sport. I wouldn’t even say we are friends,” she said. She also made it clear that she has never met Megan Thee Stallion. As the rumors picked up speed, Brown said the messages turned dark. Some people started sending threats toward her and even her family. That is when she decided to hire security. She said, “The fact that I’m still the only one defending my name, I have no idea how to process that.” There was also frustration in her voice when she spoke about the silence from both Thompson and Megan. Brown said she expected at least one of them to step in and clear things up, especially since, according to her, people close to the situation know the truth.“Surely somebody that knows the truth would step in and say something, and it didn’t happen,” she said. Brown also pointed out something that bothered her deeply. She said there is often strong public support when women face online attacks, but in her case, she feels ignored. “There’s this massive outcry for protecting Black women and nobody has mentioned Lexie Brown’s name in any of those conversations,” she added.Meanwhile, Megan Thee Stallion publicly confirmed the breakup in a message posted on her Instagram story. She shared her feelings about the relationship ending and did not hold back. “Cheating, had me around your whole family playing house… got ‘cold feet’… Holding you down through all your horrible mood swings and treatment towards me during your basketball season, now you don’t know if you can be ‘monogamous’???? I need a real break after this one,” she wrote. She also gave a statement to Daily Mail, saying, “I’ve made the decision to end my relationship with Klay. Trust, fidelity and respect are non-negotiable for me in a relationship, and when those values are compromised, there’s no real path forward.” As of now, Klay Thompson has not made any public comment directly addressing Lexie Brown’s claims or the rumors involving her name. Brown, however, is continuing to speak up. For her, the focus is simple, she wants the truth to be clear and her name to be taken out of a story she says she was never part of.
