Co-producer Jyoti Deshpande has hinted that the Dhurandhar franchise is far from over, teasing a ‘surprise’ for fans later this year and confirming they are ‘not done yet.’ The comment has sparked speculation about a third instalment, following the two films collectively grossing over Rs 3,000 crore worldwide.

The ‘Dhurandhar’ universe appears to be expanding. Riding high on the back-to-back success of ‘Dhurandhar’ and ‘Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge’, co-producer Jyoti Deshpande has fuelled speculation about what comes next, hinting that fans of Ranveer Singh‘s hit franchise can expect a ‘surprise’ soon because, as she put it, they are ‘not done yet.’

Talking to Bollywood Hungama, she said, “We’re not done with Dhurandhar yet. We’ll hopefully have a surprise for the audience later this year. There’s something up our sleeves”. The hint from Jyoti has sent fans into a frenzy, with many now wondering whether a third instalment in the ‘Dhurandhar’ franchise could already be in the pipeline.

Meanwhile, in a recent interview, director Aditya Dhar’s wife Yami Gautam spoke about the film’s success. “Nothing has changed us as people. That also comes from Aditya, and the kind of person he is, very unaffected and extremely humble. I’ve seen him through different phases; there are highs and lows and vulnerable phases, but it’s not like during that phase we expressed our frustration or let it out. Both of us are extremely thankful to God, for us spirituality is very important, we believe in the Almighty. Good things happen to good people. What’s meant for you may be delayed but never denied,” she told Grazia.

‘Dhurandhar’ released on December 5, 2025, as a spy action thriller starring Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, and R. Madhavan. The film follows an undercover Indian intelligence agent who infiltrates Karachi’s criminal underworld to dismantle an ISI-backed terror network, with its storyline drawing loose inspiration from real-life events including the 1999 IC-814 hijacking, the 2001 Indian Parliament attack, and the 2008 Mumbai attacks. It went on to gross over Rs 1,350 crore worldwide. Its sequel, ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’, released on March 19, 2026, picking up where the first film left off as agent Hamza Ali Mazari deepens his infiltration of Karachi’s criminal syndicates while avenging the 26/11 attacks.
