Megastar Chiranjeevi has received the prestigious NTR National Film Award. The award was given as part of the Gaddar Telangana Film Awards 2025. The veteran actor shared his joy and thanked the jury after receiving the recognition.

Chiranjeevi took to his X (formerly Twitter) handle, where he shared that receiving an award connected to NTR is a very emotional moment. N. T. Rama Rao was a legendary figure in the Telugu cinema. Sharing his congratulations with the other winners, he wrote, “Many congratulations to all the winners of the Gaddar Telangana Film Awards 2025. It is always a joy to celebrate the hard work and passion of our film fraternity.”In the same message, Chiranjeevi shared his gratitude and spoke about the award’s importance to him. He wrote, “My sincere thanks to the Government of Telangana, CM @revanth_anumula garu, @Bhatti_Mallu garu and the entire jury for honouring me with the NTR National Film Award.” He further added, “Receiving an award named after NTR garu is truly a great honour. Deeply grateful for the love and support that have been my greatest strength throughout my journey.”Chiranjeevi has also received major honours in the past. He was awarded the Padma Bhushan in 2006 and the Padma Vibhushan in 2024.The 2025 edition of the Gaddar Telangana Film Awards also honoured many well-known names from Indian cinema. Naga Chaitanya and Rashmika Mandanna were named Best Actor and Best Actress.
Chiranjeevi’s upcoming work
On the work front, Chiranjeevi was last seen in the comedy drama, ‘Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu’, which turned out to be a superhit. He is now working on his upcoming magnum opus, a socio-fantasy film, ‘Vishwambhara’. Additionally, he has also signed a project with ‘The Paradise’ director Srikanth Odela.
