According to the NHL, Fehervary’s girlfriend, Natalia, gave birth to Anna on January 31, two days after the Washington Capitals finished a six-game, 12-day road trip.Sharing about honoring his baby girl with a medal, the defenseman for Team Slovakia and the Washington Capitals said, “I hope I’m going to bring her some medal.” Fehervary also expressed that he was nervous throughout the trip that he would miss the birth. “I said if she would not be born before the Olympics started, I would not go,” he said. However, he had a week at home to spend with Anna before leaving for Milan on February 7.Meanwhile, his girlfriend Natalia and Anna are healthy in the U.S., easing his focus amid daily video calls during the high-stakes event. “I’m trying to call them as much as I can. It’s a little bit hard, especially for my girlfriend. She’s just with her mother, but still, after labor it’s tough, emotions are high and low.
