The 9th edition of the annual leadership program ‘Human is not a Resource’ was held from June 13 to 15 at the Isha Yoga Center, Coimbatore. “Human is not a resource. A human being is a tremendous possibility. If we approach human beings as resources, then we will never unfold their innate genius,” said Sadhguru at the event.The event, organized by Sadhguru Academy, focused on redefining workplace perspectives by emphasizing the potential of individuals over conventional resource-based approaches to talent management.The three-day residential program saw participation from 80 professionals and featured sessions by business leaders from diverse sectors. Speakers included Rajkamal Vempati, president & head of HR at Axis Bank; Manish Vij, managing partner at Smile Group; Augustus Azariah, CHRO of Kyndryl; and Shalini Lal, founder of Unqbe.The discussions explored strategies for fostering adaptive, resilient organizational cultures in times of growing economic and social uncertainty. Key themes included talent retention, ambiguity tolerance, and aligning business goals with emerging workforce expectations, particularly from younger employees seeking purpose-driven roles.A unique element of the program was a theater-based workshop led by Akshara Misra, which focused on developing listening and observation skills among participants, skills increasingly recognized as vital for effective leadership and people management.A panel discussion featuring senior volunteers from Isha shared insights into the inner workings of the volunteer-driven organization, which reportedly includes over 17 million volunteers across 400 cities worldwide.
