Recruitment rally for Agniveers begins in Gaya
Gaya is buzzing with excitement as it opens its doors for a recruitment rally aimed at Agniveers. With male participants hailing from 11 districts of Bihar and female candidates coming from both Bihar and Jharkhand, the competition is fierce. The demanding selection process kicked off on Thursday and wraps up on March 20, featuring both physical and medical evaluations.

Gaya: Recruitment rally to select Agniveers, aged between 17.5 and 21 years, began on Thursday at the Magadh University campus in Gaya. Shortlisted candidates from 11 districts of Bihar, including all five districts of the Magadh division (Gaya, Nawada, Jehanabad, Aurangabad, and Arwal), will participate in the rally. The recruitment process will conclude on March 20.According to the information provided by the regional recruitment office, in addition to male Agniveer aspirants from the eleven districts of Bihar, including Nalanda, Sheikhpura, Kaimur, Jamui, and Rohtas, female aspirants from the entire state of Bihar and Jharkhand will also participate in the rally.A separate day has been fixed for the women aspirants. The male aspirants will have to go through rigorous physical fitness and medical tests between March 5 and 20, except on March 17. Shortlisted female Agniveer aspirants from Bihar and Jharkhand would present themselves for physical fitness and medical tests on March 17.Only such aspirants are eligible to participate in the recruitment rally who have cleared the common entrance exam held online to test general awareness, basic science, elementary mathematics and reasoning of army job aspirants.At the recruitment rally, the aspirants are required to participate in a 1.6km run, pull ups, ditch jump and physical measurement as per army specifications and the final merit list will be made on the basis of the common entrance exam and fitness test results.Earlier, Col R Madhan Mohan, recruitment director of Bihar and Jharkhand, discussed the infrastructural and logistical requirements of the rally with senior officials of Gaya district, including district magistrate Shashank Shubhankar and SSP Sushil Kumar.The issues discussed between the recruitment director and district officials included maintenance of law and order, security of the participants, medical facility, emergency requirements and protection of the participants from adverse weather conditions, including rain and other weather-related parameters.
