Sudhir, the IT executive who created a stir on Nov 26 by bidding over Rs 1.1 crore for VIP number HR88B-8888 in an online auction, now says the number isn’t worth that much and he won’t bid again.Fond of VIP numbers, he already owns four cars with 0777 endings and said an astrologer advised him that 8888 would be luckier. He said intense bidding pushed him to Rs 1.17 crore. Calling the uproar unnecessary, he said he’ll buy numbers privately. On minister Anil Vij’s inquiry remark, he said he welcomes any probe.
