As per tweets, the trailer features a series of highlights ranging from the X-Men mansion, beginning with Professor X reacting to an explosion outside as Doom is seen making a dramatic entrance into the mansion courtyard, warning of an impending catastrophe and suggesting that heroes may need to make an “unthinkable decision.” The footage also features some unprecedented crossover of characters and teams like the Fantastic Four, the New Avengers, and Sam Wilson’s Avengers all shown together inside Avengers Tower, now bearing a redesigned “New Avengers” logo. Elsewhere, a striking visual reveals a desert-like landscape that is in fact the ocean floor, parted by Namor, where the Fantastic Four encounter the Wakandans. Doctor Doom and Latveria Teasers Fuel Speculation The latest social media post follows a series of cryptic teasers shared by the directing duo over the weekend, which has teased several green posters linked to the film’s main antagonist – Doctor Doom. Their latest posts, revealing the flag of Latveria, and Doom’s insignia, has only fuelled speculation that the character will play a major role in the trailer and film. Fans Divided Over What the ‘Surprise’ Could Be Marvel fans, on the other hand, have taken to the comment section to quip, “I think we’re getting more chair reveals.” Another said on Reddit, “No trailer for sure… they ain’t doing it before BND/Comic-Con.” Still another reasoned, “We’ve all reached the point where ‘surprise at 2PM’ has us speculating about everything from Doom’s Battleworld to three Spider-Men to an X-Men reveal, and it’ll probably turn out to be one ominous line of dialogue and a logo.” Avengers: Doomsday is currently scheduled to arrive in cinemas on December 18, 2026. |
