SALEM: As many as 600 police personnel have been deployed for security along a 17km stretch from Karuppur to Seelanaickenpatti ahead of TVK leader Vijay’s visit to Salem.Vijay will attend the party’s executive committee meeting at Seelanaickenpatti on Friday. TVK Salem central district secretary ‘Tamilan’ Parthiban said the meeting was meant for 5,000 party functionaries and appealed to people not to cause any disruption on Vijay’s way. A public meeting would be held next month, he added.
