Chuckwalla National Monument – California
Designated in January 2025, this 624,270-acre monument in the Colorado Desert protects desert habitats and sacred lands of the Cahuilla Indian tribe. It also expands the adjacent Joshua Tree National Park.

Castner Range National Monument – Texas
Established in March 2023, this monument in El Paso County covers the Franklin Mountains and includes archaeological sites dating back to 6,000 BC. It is managed by the U.S. Army as part of Fort Bliss.

Lake Ontario National Marine Sanctuary – New York
Designated in September 2024, this sanctuary protects over 1,700 square miles of Lake Ontario’s waters, including historic shipwrecks and areas of cultural significance to the Haudenosaunee Confederacy.

Blackwell School National Park – Texas
