CM inaugurates 10 model schools, degree college in Munger district

Bhagalpur: CM Samrat Choudhary on Tuesday inaugurated 10 model schools for Tarapur assembly constituency through virtual mode during a programme organised at Kisan Vedic High School and Saraswati Vidya Niketan in Launa village of Munger district. He also inaugurated a modern library, a computer classroom and a science laboratory at the two schools.The CM later inaugurated Adarsh (model) police station at Harpur village in Tarapur block. He inspected the police station building, including the lock-up and other facilities, and reviewed the infrastructure available there.Choudhary then visited Asarganj in Munger district, where he inaugurated a Government Degree College, launched its academic activities and interacted with local residents on issues related to the area’s development.Earlier, the CM’s helicopter landed at Kisan Vedic High School in Launa at around 1.35pm. He was accompanied by higher education minister Sanjay Singh Tiger, sugar cane industries minister and Munger district in charge Sanjay Kumar, former MLA Rajiv Singh and other people.Addressing the gathering, Choudhary said students from Asarganj and adjoining areas would no longer have to travel to Bhagalpur, Banka or Munger to pursue higher education. He said the model schools and the new degree college would help save time and expenses while improving access to education, particularly for girls from rural areas.“Our NDA govt is committed to all-round development, including reforms in the education system and strengthening educational infrastructure to ensure quality education,” the CM said.Local residents and educationists welcomed the initiatives, describing them as an important step towards improving educational infrastructure in the region.
