Kochi: CPM Alappuzha district secretary R Nazar said that if party rebel and UDF independent MLA G Sudhakaran continues to attack the party, it may lead to law and order issues.Speaking to a television news channel in Alappuzha on Sunday, Nazar said that the party workers may get agitated by the provocative statements by Sudhakaran.Sudhakaran’s remarks stating that no one needs to supply pothichoru (packed meals) at medical colleges had sparked a controversy. DYFI has been distributing pothichoru to the bystanders and patients at medical colleges in the state for the past few years. Sudhakaran’s statement has been interpreted as a veiled attack on DYFI. Sudhakaran later backtracked on his remarks.“If Sudhakaran continues to unleash attack on public platforms, party workers too have the capacity to respond. There are so many people with the power to response (in the party). If they respond, what can be done. I am not threatening. There are chances for such occurrence. Nobody will be able to control,” Nasar said. “Doesn’t he, as an MLA, have the responsibility to see that no issues occur in his constituency?” Nasar asked.Meanwhile, Sudhakaran responded to Nazar’s comments and stated that the people have already ‘handled’ CPM. Sudhakaran said that Nazar could be accused as a provocateur if anybody manhandles him.
