Indian man in the UK finds out his car did not have an AC.

An Indian man living in the UK explained how unprepared the country was to handle the heatwave and also explained why 33 degrees in the UK feels different than 45 degrees in New Delhi. Sharma also said he recently discovered that his car had no AC and it can’t be installed because there is no space for an AC. He explained that his New Delhi friends were laughing at him when he told them about their struggle at 33 degrees in the UK, as Delhi’s temperature is more than that, but he explained that the UK does not have any ceiling fans or ACs. It’s like when there is a power cut in New Delhi, and there is no backup, he explained.“Let me tell you how unprepared the UK was for this heatwave. So I got this car like three months ago. So I didn’t use the AC for the first two months and the last two weeks I thought like, it’s really hot now, it’s finally time to turn the AC on,” Sharma said as he advised UK people to check this feature before buying cars.“I turned the AC on, and it wasn’t cooling. So as any other normal person would think, I thought maybe the gas has leaked, I need to refill the gas, so I booked it with the mechanic. I gave my car in, I went after one hour, I asked them if the car is okay and the guy said, ‘Where do you want me to refill the gas? There’s no AC in your car.’ I was like, ‘What do you mean there’s no AC in the car?’ He was like, ‘Your car was manufactured without AC.’ I was like, ‘No, that can’t be true. Even the Maruti 800 in India had AC, man. That’s such an old car.’ He opened Google and he showed me, in the UK, some brands made cars in specific years, there’s just a heater and fan in it. Now I’m stuck with this car in this heat, and you can’t even install the AC if it doesn’t come with it because there’s no space in the bonnet, there’s they haven’t given enough space. Oh my God,” Sharma said.Friday (June 26) was confirmed by the Met Office as the UK’s hottest June day on record, with a provisional temperature of 37. 3C recorded in Santon Downham, Suffolk, surpassing the high of 36. 7C recorded in Merryfield, Somerset, on Thursday. An amber warning of extreme heat remains in place from midnight until 9pm on Saturday across the south east of England and East Anglia. The Met Office said next week will bring a mixed picture for the UK’s weather, with a combination of cloudy and sunny spells, as well as influxes of rain from the west at times.
