‘Peddi Bharat ki hope banega’: Ravi Kishan compares Ram Charan film to '3 Idiots' and 'Dangal'; Predicts National Award win for 'RRR' star

The makers of ‘Peddi’ unveiled the song ‘Hellallallo’ at a grand event in Bhopal where actor Ravi Kishan spoke passionately about the film and its impact. Sharing the stage with the cast and crew Ravi described the upcoming sports drama as an inspiring story that has the potential to connect with young audiences across the country.According to the actor, ‘Peddi’ carries themes of determination, self-belief and perseverance.

Compares ‘Peddi’ to Aamir Khan’s blockbusters

During his speech, Ravi drew comparisons between ‘Peddi’ and some of Bollywood’s most celebrated inspirational films. While highlighting the emotional strength of the story, he said, as quoted by Hindustan Times, “Ye aapko 3 Idiots ki bhi yaad dilayegi, Dangal ki bhi yaad dilayegi. Lekin Peddi ek aisi kahaani hai, jisme Bharat ka har yuva apni zindagi ko dhoondega.” (“It will remind you of 3 Idiots, and it will also remind you of Dangal. But Peddi is a story in which every young person in India will find a reflection of their own life.”)The actor stressed that the narrative goes beyond sports and focuses on personal growth.

Ravi further explained why he feels the film can inspire an entire generation.Expressing confidence in the story’s emotional appeal, he stated, “Jo umeed chod chuka hai, jisko lagta hai, yaar mai kya karun life mei. Mujhe kuch kar nahi sakta hoon. Yaar, mai haar gaya. I lost my exam. This time I was defeated. Wahan pe Peddi aapko umeed degi. Peddi Bharat ki hope banega. Peddi yuvaon ki hope banega. Ye vo film hai, ye vo kahaani hai.” (“For someone who has lost hope, someone who wonders, ‘What should I do with my life? I can’t achieve anything.‘ Someone who feels defeated and says, ‘I’ve lost. I failed my exam. This time, I was beaten.’ That’s where Peddi will give you hope. Peddi will become India’s hope. Peddi will become the hope of the youth. This is that kind of film. This is that kind of story.”)

Ravi Kishan predicts awards for Ram Charan

Apart from praising the film, Ravi reserved special appreciation for Ram Charan’s performance. Having previously worked with the actor, he expressed admiration for the dedication and effort that went into the role.Speaking about Ram Charan, Ravi said, “Ram Charan sir, what a performance. I’ve seen you; you were my producer. I worked with him before when he produced me. His father, the Megastar Chiranjeevi sir. Powerstar Pawan Kalyan sir is a very good friend of mine. He made Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy. But I promise you, Ram Charan sir, this is something else. National Awards, all awards, I can see all those awards coming.”

Ram Charan apologises after viral slip-up

Meanwhile, another moment from the Bhopal event became a talking point online. During his interaction with the crowd, Ram Charan mistakenly referred to Indian cricketer Jasprit Bumrah as a footballer. The clip soon spread across social media and sparked widespread reactions.After the incident gained attention, the actor addressed the matter through a post on X and offered an apology. He wrote, “Uff… I’m genuinely so forgetful with names sometimes. Apologies to @Jaspritbumrah93 Ji for the mix-up – it was a genuine human error in the middle of all the excitement and the crowd. I truly respect you, and I am a huge fan of your game. You make every Indian feel proud when you consistently put batsmen on back foot.Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, Peddi stars Ram Charan alongside Janhvi Kapoor, Shiva Rajkumar, Ravi Kishan, Jagapathi Babu and Divyenndu.
